Madden Pike is a 2028 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Puyallup. Features a medium-sized compact build with present strength and athleticism. Ran a 6.99 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed light feet that accelerate through reception where he fields it clean and out front. Some slight regather into throws where he shows advanced arm strength and got off downhill throws with avg. accuracy. In the INF, his feet showed well there too where he got to his spots with ease. Glovework stood out where it was clean/soft at an out front reception. Works through the ball well. Adv. arm played here as well where he was accurate across with carry. Behind the plate, worked from a knee down set up. Ultra-fast exchange that happened at the upper chest that allowed him to work quick to release. Athleticism out the crouch with solid ground gained. More of a pulldown type arm action where he got off 3/5 accurate throws to the bag. At the plate, he's a switch hitter who operates from similar stances from both sides. Medium base with a flatter barrel to the shoulder and a simple lower half move. Noticeable intent to each swing where he shows adv. hand speed with quick hips. Leverages well with the lower half from both sides. Path works more down-and-through with some good length. Lifted several strong barrels to the middle of the field with some better pullside feel from the left side. On the mound, showed an easy operation where he gets into some deep positions with the arm. Smaller drop/engagement with driveleg. Works with some late quickness/intent down the mound. Arm showed serious armspeed to a normal 3/4 slot. FB was up to 87 and showed normal 4S shape. Solid command of it to RHHs with some lack of feel to LHHs. Showed adv. feel for the SL in the mid 70s that had above avg. spin (~2400+) and had sharp and late depth that produced plenty of RHH whiffs. Named to 14U Select Fest Roster.
