Despite the fact that XSET was not selected for franchising by the VALORANT Champions Tour, a number of its former players have found a new home with the Sentinels for the 2023 season.
The lineup is complete with the addition of Rory “dephh” Jackson as the very last member.
Sentinels has confirmed that the formerly in-game leader of XSET will be joining the team to complete out the roster, as was initially reported by Dot Esports.
He will be playing with two familiar colleagues, coach Don “Syyko” Muir and teammate Zachary “zekken” Patrone, both of whom also came from XSET following the roster split that occurred as a result of the organization’s disallowed partnership for 2023. He will be joining them on the new squad.

After the announcement of Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna, both of whom were former members of the Brazilian team LOUD, it is likely that Dephh will be the final player to be added to the Sentinels’ 2023 roster. This announcement came shortly after LOUD, another organization that also made the decision to franchise, announced the signing of Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi and Bryan “pANcada” Luna. Tyler “TenZ” Ngo has announced that he will continue to be a member of the squad despite the fact that Michael “shroud” Grzesiek’s future with the organization is still unclear. Ngo just renewed his contract with the organization.
The Sentinels will start getting ready for the beginning of the inaugural franchised season of the XSET now that its main lineup is complete. The inaugural competition on the new circuit will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in February of 2023. This competition will take the place of the year’s initial split. This will be the first time that franchised teams will be able to compete against each other in a tournament against other franchised teams. The winner of the tournament will be determined in March after all of the games have been played.
Even though the offseason is already underway, teams are still working to complete the core of their rosters in preparation for 2023. Sentinels are starting to look like a powerhouse going into the first franchised VCT competition the following year. Their core roster includes three members of XSET and two LOUD players who have recently gone far or won a major event in international competition. Both of these accomplishments occurred relatively recently.
